Have a question about printing custom Brochures? Check out these brochure printing FAQ and learn about our paper stocks, coatings, folding options and more.
What sizes are available?
You can design custom brochures for online printing in our predetermined sizes or use custom dimensions. When you enter your desired dimensions in the Unfolded Size fields on the product page, a notification will alert you if they are outside our parameters. In that case, you can request a Custom Quote.
What paper stocks and weights are available?
Brochures are available in a variety of paper stocks, including coated, uncoated and recycled. We offer them in text and cover weights, where the larger the number, the heavier the paper. Learn more: Small Format Paper Stocks, Coated Paper Stocks vs. Uncoated Paper Stocks, Recycled Paper Stocks, Text Weight vs. Cover Weight
Can I print double-sided brochures?
Yes. You can print your own brochures with black or full-color ink on one or both sides. Just use the Printing on the Front and Printing on the Back dropdowns on the product page. Learn more: Black vs. Full-Color Printing
What coatings and laminates are available?
You can finish and protect your brochures with one of our UV coatings or laminates like gloss, matte and Soft Touch. If your brochure has more than two folds, we do not recommend adding Soft Touch laminate, as it doesn’t allow multiple folds to lay flat.
We also do not recommend Soft Touch laminate if you’re mailing your brochures without an envelope, as Soft Touch cannot be sent through mail processing machines. Learn more: UV Coating vs. Laminate, Printing with UV Coating, Soft Touch Laminate
What kind of folding options are there?
We offer brochure printing with more than 10 fold options. You can choose a tri-fold, accordion fold, gate fold, roll fold and more. Learn more: Brochure Folding Ideas
How many wafer seals should I use?
If you’re mailing your brochures without an envelope, two wafer seals (also known as tabs or closures) are required by the postal service. If you’re not mailing your brochures, you can add two or three seals, based on your preference or brochure design.
When should I use perforation?
You can add perforation to your brochures to create tear-off coupons, contact cards or mail order forms. Learn more: Print with Perforation
When should I use drill holes?
As a customer-focused online printer, we offer single, double and triple drill hole options. You might add drill holes to your brochures if you’re including them in marketing binders or menu binders.
What is the minimum order quantity?
The minimum order quantity for brochures is 1, with the maximum quantity all the way up to 10,000. For quantities outside this range, you can request a Custom Quote.
Will I get a proof for my brochures?
Yes. A digital PDF soft proof will be available for your review within one business day after we receive your file upload. You’ll be able to review the project’s content and format and make any changes before it’s printed. Learn more: Proofs
What’s the difference between simple and complex digital laser cutting?
Choose simple die cutting for shapes like circles, ovals, squares and rectangles. Choose complex die cutting for any shapes or cuts more intricate than that.
Brochures also offer variable finishing, which allows you to personalize them with laser cut names or other information, along with your simple or complex cuts.
Can I create brochures with different designs in the same order?
Yes. With our Versions feature, you can print various designs to differ content on multiple brochures (marketing brochures, product or service pamphlets, etc.). Part of our online printing services, it lets you change the designs but your brochures must be the same size, stock and finish. Learn more: Versions
