Have a question about printing custom Playing Cards? Check out these playing card printing FAQ and learn about our face styles, packaging options and more.
What sizes are available?
We print poker-sized playing cards in 2-1/2″W x 3-1/2″H.
What paper stocks are available?
Our custom playing cards are printed on 310 gsm linen finish, premium casino-grade cardstock with a custom playing card coating. The linen finish provides a textured cross-stitch pattern, while a black core lining limits light that may pass through (this is an extra precaution casinos take).
310 gsm (grams per square meter) gives the cards a slightly denser and thicker feel, which allows for a greater “snap back” and easier shuffling.
How many cards are in each deck?
54 cards are in each deck.
Can I customize the back of my cards?
Yes, you can print playing cards with black or full-color ink on the back. Common designs for online printing include business logos and branding, custom artwork and personal photography. Just use the Printing on the Back dropdown on the product page to make your ink selection. Learn more: Black vs. Full-Color Printing
Can I customize the faces?
At this time, you cannot design your own faces, but you can choose from four different face styles on your personalized card deck:
- Standard Faces: Standard face designs.
- Jumbo Faces: Enlarged numbers and letters in the corners and smaller faces on King, Queen and Jack cards.
- Vintage Faces: Standard face designs with a brownish-red sepia background.
- Gray Faces: Standard face designs in shades of gray.
Do you have print templates for personalized playing cards?
Yes. We offer a variety of print templates for you to follow when designing your custom card deck. You can find them under the Project Resources section on the playing cards product page or in our Layout Guides section.
What kind of packaging does my card deck come in?
With our online printing services, your card deck comes wrapped in cellophane. You can also choose from four different box options:
- Hard Clear Plastic Case: Hard, clear plastic.
- Soft Gel Case: Soft, semi-clear plastic.
- Custom Printed Tuck Box: Custom design on the outside of a 14 pt C1S paperboard box.
